Materials for printed fruit cartons and trays
A retail fruit gift box and a distribution tray do different jobs. Specify the loaded pack and route, not just a paper weight or an empty-box photo.
- Printed liner + corrugated board
- For fruit shipping cartons, open-top trays and heavier gift packs. Select the liner, flute and board combination against packed load, ventilation openings and stacking.
- Partitions and fitted inserts
- Size around fruit diameter, protective nets or complete punnets. Check fruit clearance, separation and removal with a loaded sample.
- Finish and moisture exposure
- Specify condensation, storage humidity and refrigerated handling. A varnished or laminated surface does not make the complete carton waterproof; validate the packed box for its route.
Before you order
What is the MOQ for custom fruit boxes?
MOQ depends on box dimensions, board, cutting die, printing and finishing rather than one fixed quantity for every format. You can inquire before deciding the quantity. Share planned sizes and approximate volumes so sampling and quantity-based quotations can be discussed.
What do you need to quote printed fruit packaging?
Start with the fruit type, count or number of punnets per box, packed weight and sales or delivery route. A reference image or approximate size helps. Quantity, delivery country and required arrival date can follow; unit price and freight are confirmed against the agreed specification.
Can a fruit gift box also be used for e-commerce shipping?
Not automatically. Gift cartons focus on presentation, carrying and fruit arrangement. Parcel shipping also needs protection against handling and compression. Review the full pack to decide on partitions, cushioning or an additional shipping carton.
Can blueberry trays and strawberry carriers fit our existing punnets?
Yes, the outer pack can be developed around complete punnet dimensions and the number per tray. Check removal clearance, stacking tabs and airflow on the structural sample, not only the dimensions of loose fruit.
How do you specify fruit cartons for refrigerated distribution?
Share the packed load, stacking pattern, storage humidity, temperature and expected exposure time. Board, bonding, openings and finish must be reviewed together. Agree the sample checks or tests before treating the pack as suitable for the route.
How are fruit box samples and production lead times confirmed?
Approve fit, fruit arrangement and the loaded structure first, then artwork, color, inserts and pack-out. Sample charges, sample timing and production lead time are confirmed for the specification, material availability and approval schedule.
